Spring is here and the fig trees are just starting to set new leaves. This variety, Black Greek was the first to set a few small leaves but already has 8 breba (A breba fig is any fig that grows from last years wood, a main fig is grown on new or this years wood.) figs swelling on it. I have watered the trees so they are hydrated well and am fertilizing them this year with hydroponic fertilizer exclusively based upon the results I experienced with our hydroponic growing experiments.
